Crafting & Upgrades in Atlas Fallen is a feature that would allow an increase in effectiveness and stats for specific equipment. If available, this will also allow players to create their own set of items using a combination of Materials collected from exploring or obtained by completing specific tasks in Atlas Fallen. Crafting and Upgrades Information in Atlas Fallen
Scattered around the different biomes and regions of Atlas Fallen lies several types of Materials that players can use to craft and upgrade their equipment. These Materials can be found everywhere from scavenging the area, receiving as rewards or even just purchasing from any Vendor you cross paths with.
Players can upgrade their Gauntlet by equipping different Idols and crafting Essence Stones. The Gauntlet can also be upgraded through acquiring Gauntlet Shards.

Formulas in Atlas Fallen
Players may often find Formulas in chests, given as rewards, or can be purchased from Vendors. These Formulas hold information for players on crafting different Essence Stones and the materials required for crafting. Each formula for an Essence Stone requires 1 Essence Core, at least 1 Plant, and at least 1 Mineral. An Active Formula holds a recipe for a single Essence Stone, however regular Formulas will hold 2 recipes.
Fusion Materials in Atlas Fallen
Plants
Plants are a type of Fusion Material that players can often find in different biomes, players may also purchase them from the different Vendors in Villages or the Travelling Vendor. Plants are often used to fuse with Essence Stones, different plants can be used to fuse with or upgrade specific Essence Stones. Players can go to the Gauntlet menu and head over to the Essence Stones screen to fuse or upgrade their Essence Stones, given that they have the required materials for it.
Minerals
Minerals are a type of Fusion Material that players can often find from droppings upon defeating enemies or upon breaking certain body parts of specific enemies, players may also purchase them from different Vendors. Minerals are often used to upgrade Essence Stones or to fuse with Essence Stones of a certain Tier. Players can go to the Gauntlet menu and head over to the Essence Stones screen to fuse or upgrade their Essence Stones, given that they have the required materials for it.

Upgrading Weapons in Atlas Fallen
Weapons in the game cannot be upgraded through fusion materials, however they can reach different states depending on the amount of Momentum players get through Combat. Players can increase their Momentum Gauge by striking down enemies, once a Momentum slot has been filled, player's weapon will evolve into its next state. Momentum need to be increased or maintained to reach the next state or keep the current state of their weapons, the weapon will revert back to its default state when the Momentum depletes. Specific Wraiths may also have some attacks that can deplete the payers momentum, they will have to watch out for that.
Upgrading the Gauntlet in Atlas Fallen
Players can upgrade their Gauntlet at any of the Anvils and choosing the Gauntlet Upgrades choice on the Anvil Menu. Players' Gauntlet can be upgraded by collecting the required Gauntlet shards for the different skills for the Gauntlet.
Gauntlet Shards can be acquired through normal story progression and sometimes needing certain key items for the upgrade, acquiring all the shards will grant players with an upgrade of a new utility ability. These utility abilities enhance players game experience with different movement abilities, and exploration abilities.
Upgrading Essence Stones in Atlas Fallen
Players can upgrade their Essence Stones through the Gauntlet Menu. When there is an upgrade available for an Essence Stone, a gear icon will appear on the upper right corner. The Upgrade section will list out the next available upgrade for the Essence Stone, as well as materials needed to make that upgrade.
Players may also craft new Essence Stones through Formulas. Players will come across Active Formulas which displays 1 recipe, while regular Formulas will display 2 recipes. Each Formula requires 1 Essence Core, at least 1 Plant, and at least 1 Mineral. All of these Materials can be found from different biomes or dropped from defeating enemies.
Upgrading Armour in Atlas Fallen
Players can upgrade their Armour at any of the Anvils and choosing the Armour Upgrades choice on the Anvil Menu. Armours can be upgraded between 2 to 3 times depending on the armour, upgrading armour enhances the overall stats. Fully upgrading an Armour set grants players a unique armour trait.
Each of the Armour will require a specific amount of Essence Dust depending on the armour, armour sets with a higher power level will require more Essence Dust per upgrade.
Upgrading Perks in Atlas Fallen
There are 12 Perks in Atlas Fallen that players can unlock and upgrade, each perks gives a different passive ability to players. Perks can be unlocked and upgraded with Perk Tokens that players can get through upgrading their Armour. Each perk can be upgraded to 3 levels, this improves the Perks enhancing its abilities. Players can respec their Perks any time they want to so that they can have their perks fit their preference better
